Beauty Favorites of 2007!

Ladies, Chic Mommy and I apologize for having gone missing during the last few weeks...there is something about the holiday season that puts us into such a food coma, we just can't seem to type!! This post though, is meant to make up for our delay.

Introducing Chic Mommy and Kohl's Girl's Favorite Beauty Products of 2007!!! While all of you have been thinking about the positives and negatives of your lives over the past twelve months, we have been doing that plus coming up with the list of the products that brightened up our year!!

Eyeliner: MAC Powerpoint pencil in Prussian, a navy-purple that is absolutely gorgeous against dark brown eyes, either alone or as part of a smokey eye.

Lip Glosses: Peachy MAC Big Kiss as a warm toned gloss and the violet Chanel Summer Plum as a cool toned gloss.

Eyeshadow for Nighttime: MAC Flashtrack -- a shimmery navy that is great for a new take on the smokey eye. It goes great with MAC Prussian eye pencil.

    I am writing to find out if the vasanti face bases and foundations are reaally good. I hear they are made for Asian skin tones.Being Indian I am having a tuff time finding the right foundation.Most of them are either too chalky or ashy or pinky, do u have any advice for skin tones like mine?Could you also, may be do a review on vasanti foundation please?

  3. what is the best facial moisturizer? I have tried MANY and I keep breaking out with tiny bumps all over my face....thanks!

  4. Trupti, the best one I've used is Cetaphil moisturizing lotion. If you're looking for one with SPF, try Oil of Olay UV complete or Garnier Nutritioniste facial moisturizer with SPF.

    Those tiny bumps you're experiencing is not necessarily acne, it maybe you're allergic to something in the moisturizer you're using. Sometimes you have to try a few brands out before you find one that works for you. Cetaphil is the brand most dermatologists recommend if you have sensitive skin, give it a try. They make an SPF version for daytime use too, but I was allergic to the sunscreen they used in it, and it made my eyes sting. I use Olay during the day now,and Cetaphil at night. Can't say enough about Cetaphil, even my babies use it, it's that gentle.
