Fall 2008 Beauty Preview, Part I

The first few days of the New York fall fashion show for Fall 2008 featured an assortment of strong, yet very different, beauty looks.

At Reyes, clean, matte skin feature with a standout, red-orange lip. Hair was very natural, almost like models had done it themselves, with a light wave.

Lela Rose's beauty look is beautiful on tan skin tones. The look featured a gray smokey eye, pink cheeks and pink lips.

Lela Rose's beauty look is equally stunning on fair skin tones, as seen directly below. I love the use of a matte gray for the smokey eye which is less harsh than a traditional, black smokey eye.

Herve Leger's look has not been my favorite thus far, but interesting nonetheless. It appears that powdery pink lips are not flattering on anyone, even the most gorgeous of models.
Erin Fetherston's beauty look will no doubt be refreshing in a sea of smokey eye and dark lip looks. The coral lips are clearly stunning on tan skin tones and will be a great burst of color next fall.
No one feature pops out in DKNY's fall beauty look. Lips are colored pink but besides that, the face is very neutral and in my opinion, a little boring.

Baby Phat's beauty is sexy as usual. The makeup artist chose to make both lips and eyes stand out with very dark, precisely painted, burgundylips and thickly lined, charcoal gray eyes. I love the 1920s curls in the hair.
