Fall 2008 Beauty Preview, Part III

The makeup looks on the New York runways not only vary between smoky eyes and bold lips, they also range from the wild and deconstructed to the tame and sophisticated.

At Thakoon, pretty pink lips and powdery pink cheeks contrasted against a wild, grandma-style bouffant.

Very bold, sky blue eyes, shadowed all the way up to the brows, stood out at Prouenza Schouler. The rest of the face was left plain and matte.

The lips have it at Peter Som. Lips were precisely painted a true red. Like at Thakoon, the hair was wild and voluminous.

The makeup at Pamela Roland was as beautiful as the dresses. Earthy brown shadow was used on eyes, with peach cheeks and a shimmery peach lip for a simple yet stunning look. Hair was also simple, swept in shiny updos.

A violet haze surrounded eyes at Max Azria. The look, while using color all around the eye, was much softer and thinly layered than at Prouenza Schouler.
Bold eyes and sweet lips one models contrasted with one another at Iodice. A graphic, black cat eye juxtaposed rosebud lips.

Wild makeup was not unexpected at Betsey Johnson. Winged out, black shadow and liner made eyes stand out while cherry red lips stole the show. Crimped hair topped off the look.
