New York Fashion Week '09: Carolina Herrera

Just like its spring beauty look, the fall '09 beauty look at Carolina Herrera was one of my favorites! Just look at the pretty hair do' below - its simple with a special twist!

Orlando Pita first blow dried hair straight and then spritzed hair with T3 Renew Dry Conditioner. Pita sprayed his hands with T3'Control Hairspray and finger-combed hair back to create a little volume. After putting hair up, he added visible copper hairpins everywhere in decorative patterns and intermittently placed small bronze flowers throughout the hair.

Look!! Its Lakshmi working her glow!! Makeup artist Diane Kendal for MAC Cosmetics lined the waterline with a nude shimmer pencil and added white pearlized MAC Pigment on the browbone and the top of the cheekbones. Kendal used a peach MAC Mineralize blush and finished with MAC Twig lipstick layered with a berry MAC Dazzleglass shade. I am loving the muted mauve lip color on Lakshmi.

MAC Products used:

Eyes:

Deep Dark Pro Pigment – blended into crease of the eyelid, around the outer corner of the eyes and along the lower lashline.

Studio Touch-Up Stick Concealer – buffed onto eyelids as a base.

White Pigment - glazed over the eyelids.

Face:

Studio Sculpt SPF 15 Foundation – applied in a sheer layer one shade lighter than natural skin tone.

Hand Finish Mineralize Blush – blended on to the apples of the cheeks.

White Frost Pigment – touched onto cheek bones to highlight.

Lips:

Twig Lipstick – feathered onto lips with a lip brush.

Local Colour Dazzleglass – applied in the center of the lips.
