New York Fashion Week '09: Yigal Azrouel

At Yigal Azrouel, the inspiration was simply rock and roll as demonstrated by super straight hair and black smoky eyes.

Hair stylist Teddy Charles blow dried the hair straight and then applied Redken Spray Starch. He finished with a straightening iron and a Redken Align Ultra-Straight Balm.

Makeup artist Polly Osmond used MAC to "blank out" the face, using a minimal amount of foundation to the lower eyelids and brushed down onto the cheeks. She kept lips pale, with only a touch of color that was then blotted with concealer. The eyes were created with layers of black pencil, black shadow and black mascara.

MAC Products used:

Eyes:

Eye Kohl in Smolder – Drawn into waterline of the eyes.

Pro Chromacake in Black Black – Blended over the eye lids.

Copperplate Eye Shadow – Brushed over lids and through the crease of the eyes.

Plushlash Mascara In Black – Applied to top and bottom lashes.

Face:

Studio Sculpt Foundation – Applied in shades to match skin tone.

Invisible Set Powder – Lightly brushed over the face to set foundation.

Lips:

Studio Sculpt Foundation – A drop of foundation was blended onto lips to pale down their natural colour.
